Lab Axes

Lab-NuPABS focuses on human health within the contexts of nutrition and disease, alongside sustainable biotechnological advancements. Its research spans three core areas: human nutrition and health, biomedical research with a focus on molecular pathology and cancer, and agrobiotechnology for sustainable development. The principal axes are:

Human Nutrition and Health / Nutritional Prevention of NCDs

This includes studies on nutritional status of vulnerable populations, control of NCDs, and nutritional prevention strategies.

Biomedical Research / Molecular Pathology of Human Diseases (especially Cancer) with a Nutritional Focus

Focusing on decoding molecular mechanisms of disease development and progression, identifying molecular abnormalities in cancer (including those linked to nutrition) for therapeutic targeting, and investigating epigenetic disruptions as influenced by nutritional factors.

Agrobiotechnology and Sustainable Development / Plant Production and Health

This involves research on improving plant production, developing bioprotection and plant health control processes, and studying bioactive substances for nutritional and therapeutic applications.
